For the most part, our HANDICAPS are based on potential, not actual averages.

For returning players, 3 values will be averaged to make your HCP AVG.  It's your 2 BEST SCORES on the sheet (past 21 weeks) and your SHEET AVERAGE.

NEW Players (and returning players without 11 scores posted) will start the season as Social Members.  Once it is time to set the flights, Social Members will be used to fill any open spots.  We will start at the top of the list and work down.  The scores used will be ones that the player has posted, no dummy scores.

Once Social Members have been selected as Regular Members, they will have a DUMMY score inserted that reflects their POTENTIAL.  That DUMMY score will remain with them for the entire regular season.  (DUMMY scores can be lowered by the commissioner if the player shoots lower than inserted DUMMY score.)  Dummy scores will be dropped from player averages for the playoffs.  Dummy scores will not be included in the tabulation of the 16 lowest HCP averages for the Scratch Matchplay Tournament.
